Interior Designer: Black Lacquer Design

As part of an ongoing series on the journal I am profiling some of the interior designers whose work I admire and who have used my products so beautifully. I find it so interesting to see how all these wonderfully talented designers use my patterns in their own unique way and with such unexpected combinations and I am hoping that it will give you inspiration of how you can use pattern in your home.

I love the wonderfully glamorous work of Los Angeles based Black Lacquer Designs, founded by Caitlin Murray in 2014. The studio’s work has received countless accolades for the beautifully luxurious, colour soaked interiors that they have created.

Seascape in Winter linen has been made into stunning curtains for this arts and crafts home designed by Black Lacquer Designs. “When a punk rock aesthetic meets craftsman architecture, the seductive design spawn is something to write home about. Our clients relocated to Los Angeles after parting ways with their beloved San Francisco Victorian, so we created a whole new breed - featuring their high-style gothic sensibilities infused with our personal brand of Southern California-cool”.
