Interior Designer: Ellen W. Interior Concepts
Interior designer and founder of Ellen W. Interior Concepts, Lauren White has loved interiors since she was a child. After becoming disillusioned with corporate America, she left her job as an Executive assistant in 2015 and decided to pivot into interior design, she loves the construction side of interiors and began her new career via internships home staging. After a couple of years Lauren established Ellen W. Interior Concepts in 2017.
Based in Philadelphia, Lauren ensures that each project she takes on defines her client’s personal style, believing that your home should allow you to be unapologetically you. She designs exclusively personal spaces, that are timeless, outlasting any passing trends, with the companies classic yet modern aesthetic at its core, but with a touch of Parisian flair thrown in.
Lauren likes to design spaces that, “our clients are proud of, a place our clients are excited to be in and a place our clients can brag about.’” She doesn’t have a definitive starting point when choosing a pattern for a space but will consider the style of the project and the colours of the scheme. She chose Seascape in Winter wallpaper for this little girl’s nursery, “it was so whimsical and nostalgic. It reminded me of story books from my earlier childhood days,” says Lauren. Pairing the wallpaper with soft textured blankets, a fairy tale canopy and sculptural faux taxidermy toys, give this room a magical, wonderland feel, while soft grey walls and a vintage rug add an element of sophistication.
